Second Annual Elvis Concert Aug 12, 2012...
this year, in the museum!

To Donors and Friends Of The Children's Museum of Alamance County,

You are invited to attend a concert in the museum. The star will be Elvis (in the form of Wayne Euliss, an Award-Winning Tribute Artist). Having Wayne come to the museum to raise funds for the museum is special in several ways. Wayne was born and raised in Graham. As a child, he played in the area where the new museum stands today. We think that having Wayne perform in the museum gives the concert special meaning.
Wayne performed a concert for the museum last August in the Paramount Theater in Burlington, and drew an audience of 330 people. That event netted $4,500 for the museum, and we intend to top that in the next concert.

The date for his next fund-raising concert for the museum is August 12, 2012, which is the beginning of the Annual Elvis Week. We plan to serve dinner in the museum, provide some time for attendees to see inside the new museum, and have some great songs performed by Elvis in one of his replica outfits.

We are selling Sponsorships to this event. If you want to be a Sponsor, pay $250 and you will get 2 free VIP tickets. VIP tickets are closer to the stage area.
You will get your name or company's name on a sign at the event that you are a Sponsor. Sponsor.

The Regular tickets are $30 and also include dinner, and will be further from the stage area than the VIP area.
You may purchase tickets at the following places:
  • Children's Museum of Alamance County, 217 S. Main St, Graham, phone 336-228-7997
  • All About Cruises, 1034 Williamson Ave, Burlington, NC 27215, www.allaboutcruisesnc.net , 336 538-4926
  • Call Ron Steele, 336-675-5796
Please see the details about the event in the attachment above, or on this web page: http://www.childrensmuseumofalamance.org/ , and Click on "Museum Happenings".

I hope to see you at the concert!

This photo was taken at the "Museum Without Walls" event in Graham back in August. The museum building was not completed yet, and Pat and Phoebe wanted to publicize the museum. The old Graham Hardware Store (Colonial Hardware) has built a stage and Graham has outdoor concerts there. Pat and Phoebe used the parking lot and stage for "Museum Without Walls", and had parents bring little kids over and play and learn: science booth, story telling, some simple technology booths, etc. Nancy ran the Bubbles Tub, and one little girl kept running and diving into the tub of bubbles. Aaron, Pat, Phoebe, Nancy and Ron, and many adults ran the 4 hour event and hundreds of kids and parents came..even busses and vans of kids were brought to enjoy the event. Aaron is VP of the museum and Phoebe is President. Pat is the "General Consultant" ?

Museum Building Shell now under construction (June 3, 2011). Outfitting of educational rooms will follow as funding allows. Plans for opening are first half of 2012.
